Deputy Room Lead / Senior Nursery Practitioner Godalming
£12.74ph (£26,499.20pa based on a 40 hour week)
40 hours per week, work over 4 or 5 days, whichever suits you best.

We currently looking for a Senior Nursery Practitioner / Deputy Room Leader to join our team at our Outstanding rated children’s day nursery and preschool in Godalming, right by the main high street. Successful candidates can either be unqualified (ideally with some childcare experience), L2 or 3 qualified or above, salary brackets as above.
The role will be working in our Toddlers room.

Role responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Room Leader and management team in providing the highest level of support and learning in the toddler room.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive environment for the children
- Observations and write ups on children’s development
- Making the most of the beautiful surroundings by using our fully equipped garden and taking the children on day trips to local parks, farms and more
- As the senior staff member in the room you will lead the room in the Room leads absence
The ideal Senior Nursery Practitioner Godalming candidate will;
- Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe
- Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five
- Hold a minimum level 3 childcare qualification (highly desirable)
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages)
- Be able to work well in a team
- Have good leadership skills
