Nursery Practitioner / Nursery Nurse / Nursery Assistant
Option for the successful candidate to work with any age group based on preference
Option for either a Practitioner or Senior Practitioner working towards 3rd in charge
Level 2 or 3 qualified
Part time or full time can be considered
Currently recruiting a Nursery Practitioner for our our beautiful, forward-thinking children’s day nursery and preschool in Walton On Thames, a short walk from the town centre.
We are seeking individuals who can promote high quality care in a stimulating, rich learning environment which offers wonderful opportunities for all ages of children from 3 months–5 years.
We are a beautiful 35 place setting, inspired by the very practical and realistic, Italian, Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education which values every child as a strong, capable and resilient person who is full of curiosity.

Main responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner / Nursery Nurse:
- Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children’s needs.
- Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
- Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
- Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.
The ideal candidate will;
- Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
- Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
- Be qualified to NVQ level 2 / 3 or equivalent in childcare (highly desirable)
- Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS – Early Years Foundation Stages

We appreciate that it is important to get work life balance right and as such, we are happy to consider either full time (over 4 or 5 days), or Part time hours and salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
